Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GetBooked ("GetBooked," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit getbookedplumbing.com, contact us, or use our services. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and we'll explain it in plain language.
The short version: We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services. We do not sell your personal information. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. You can opt out of messages at any time.
1. Who we are
GetBooked provides marketing and customer-communication services to plumbing and home-service businesses, including past-customer reactivation campaigns, missed-call response, appointment booking, estimate follow-up, and review generation.
This policy covers two different groups of people:
- Prospects and clients — business owners who visit our website, contact us, or hire us.
- Our clients' customers — homeowners and businesses whose information a client provides to us so we can send communications on that client's behalf. For that information, our client is the data controller and we act as a service provider on their instructions. See Section 8.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Name, email address, mobile phone number, and business name
- Information about your business that you choose to share, such as service area, average job value, call volume, or customer list size
- Message content you send us through forms, email, SMS, or phone
- For clients: billing details, business registration information required for carrier compliance (legal business name and tax ID), and access credentials or data exports you choose to provide
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and approximate location derived from IP
- Cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and advertising pixels (see Section 6)
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about it
- To provide, operate, and improve our services
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and service-related messages
- To send marketing communications where you have consented or where permitted by law, and always with a way to opt out
- To process payments and maintain business records
- To comply with legal obligations, including telecommunications and anti-spam requirements
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents
4. SMS and text messaging
This section applies to text messages we send to prospects and clients from GetBooked's own phone number.
- Consent. We send SMS only to people who have provided a mobile number and affirmatively opted in — for example, by checking an unchecked consent box on our contact form, or by replying to a message thread they started. Consent is never a condition of purchase.
- What we send. Appointment confirmations and reminders, replies to your inquiry, and occasional service-related follow-up. Message frequency varies.
- Opting out. Reply STOP to any message and we will stop sending immediately and permanently. Reply HELP for assistance, or email [email protected].
- Costs. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for messages; your carrier may.
- Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
SMS data is not shared. Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS purposes, and the consent associated with them, are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties, affiliates, or partners for their marketing purposes. They are used only to deliver the messages described above, and are shared only with the messaging providers that transmit those messages on our behalf.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers who help us operate — customer relationship and messaging platforms, telecommunications and email delivery providers, payment processors, email verification services, and analytics tools. They may use the information only to perform services for us.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers — if GetBooked is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
- With your direction — when you ask us to share something on your behalf.
6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, understand how it is used, and measure advertising. This may include analytics providers and advertising platforms such as Meta, which may set cookies or receive information about your visit in order to measure ad performance or show you relevant ads.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through the platforms directly or through industry opt-out tools. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site functions.
7. Email communications
We send business-to-business email to prospective clients in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act. Every message identifies who we are, includes a valid physical mailing address, and offers a clear way to stop receiving further messages. If you ask us to stop, we honor it promptly and permanently. To be removed at any time, email [email protected].
8. Data we process for clients
Clients provide us with their own customer lists so we can send communications on their behalf. When we handle that data:
- We use it only to deliver the services the client has engaged us to perform.
- We do not use it to market our own services, and we do not merge it with other clients' data.
- We do not sell, rent, or share it.
- Clients are responsible for having the right to provide that data and for having obtained appropriate consent from their customers.
- Opt-out requests from a client's customers are honored immediately, and we maintain suppression records so those contacts are not messaged again.
- On request, or within a reasonable period after our engagement ends, we delete or return client data.
9. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide our services, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Records of consent and opt-out requests are retained longer where required for compliance. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, including access controls, encrypted connections, and reputable third-party platforms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Opt out of marketing communications, including SMS and email
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — though as stated above, we do not sell personal information
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for making a request. We may need to verify your identity first.
If you are a customer of one of our clients and want your information removed, you can reply STOP to any message, or contact us and we will forward your request to the business that holds the relationship.
12. Third-party links
Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated where practical.
